Universal Studios' Waterworld was the most expensive film of its time with 95% of the filiming happening on the water. Starring Kevin Costner the film is set in the future where the polar caps have melted and the earth is covered by water.

Universal's stunt coordinator R.A. Rondell gathered some of the worlds best professionals such as true Hawaiian watermen: Terry Ahue, Buffalo and Brian Keaulana, surf legends Laird Hamilton and Buzzy Kerbox, jet ski racer Larry "The Ripper" Rippenkroeger, JetBoard inventor Bob Montgomery and fifty of Hollywood's top stuntmen from Stunts Unlimited, to create some very exciting scenes on the water.

The unique secret weapon jetboards sliced and diced for the camera's eye. Picture an army of stuntmen and extras clashing on the water with every type of mutant exotic watercraft imaginable, culminating in mind blowing explosions.... That's Waterworld. "There was 50 years experience of veteran stuntmen and a genuine camaraderie with exciting stories of past action pictures. I was honored to be with the best in the business and the stunt work in the movie speaks for itself," Bob said.
