SAN CLEMENTE--May 22, 2003--Powerski International is proud to announce we have just received written notification that officially as of today we are able to sell and ride the Powerski Jetboard in the United States.
Powerski International Corporation was granted its request for exemption allowing the sale and distribution of the Powerski Jetboard Igniter 2000 in the United States with the exception of California, because PSI Corp. have not met the EPA emissions standards for California. This is an exciting moment in time at PSI.
By letters dated April 28 and December 5, 2002 and April 27,2003, Mr. Lewis Skip Ripley and Mr. Robert Montgomery of Powerski International Corporation, 150-a Calle Iglesia, San Clemente, California, petitioned for an exemption from specific regulations applying to standard boats. These boating regulations do not apply to our new sleek and low profile watercraft.
The exemption is sought for the Powerski Igniter 2000 motorized surfboard manufactured by the Powerski International. The Powerski Igniter 2000™ is 101 inches in length, has a 25-inch beam, is powered by a 45 horse power, single cylinder, water-cooled 2-stroke engine driving a single stage axial flow water-jet pump and is designed to carry only the operator. The Powerski Igniter 2000 has a dry weight of 160 pounds and contains 3.25 cubic feet of foam floatation material.
The Powerski Jetboard™ and the SuperTorqueXT™ engine is patented world wide.
