POWERSKI JETBOARD WINS POPULAR SCIENCE’S BEST OF WHAT’S NEW AWARD

SAN CLEMENTE--October 15, 2001--PowerSki International (PSI) is pleased to announce that Popular Science Magazine, the world's largest science and technology magazine, included our patented PowerSki Igniter 2000 Jetboard as the focus of a feature article in the October 2001 issue. The Jetboard and engine are part of that publications report on “Extreme Machines”—unusual and innovative inventions that offer one-of-a-kind body-in-motion experiences. The article by Michael Moyer, titled “Adrenaline Rush,” also featured the patented PowerSki SuperTorqueXT engine technology.

As a result of that story, Cecilia Wessner, Popular Science Magazine's Editor-in-Chief, wrote to us saying, "I am pleased to inform you that the Jetboard has been chosen to receive a 2001 Best of What's New award in the recreation category.

Each year, Popular Science Magazine editors — who annually review thousands of new products and technology developments select 100 for distinction as the "Best of What's New." A 26-page special editorial section highlighting the editors' selections is the cover story for the magazine’s December 2001 issue and the PowerSki Igniter 2000 Jetboard will be featured in this article. This year marks the 14th anniversary of the awards program.

The 2001 "Best of What's New" awards will also extend beyond their pages to millions of visitors to http://www.popsci.com . These viewers will crown one of the 100 winners with the Readers' Choice Award, to be announced on January 4, 2002. The annual "Best of What's New" awards garner extensive media coverage nationwide. Previously, the awards have been covered in the top 10 television markets and by several network and cable programs. In addition, Popular Science Magazine editors are interviewed by dozens of radio stations in the U.S. and Canada. This year, the magazine will also host a special two-hour satellite media tour showcasing the PowerSki™ Igniter 2000™ Jetboard™ as one of the hottest products and technologies from among the award winners. PSI has been asked to fly a Jetboard to the studios in New York for the special two-hour satellite media tour and inclusion in the morning talk show appearance.

The PowerSki™ Igniter 2000™ Jetboard™ and the PowerSki™ SuperTorqueXT™ engine are candidates to appear on television programs like “Good Morning America” and “The Today Show,” among others.
