SAN CLEMENTE--June 21, 2001
Even though the Igniter 330 Production Jetboard is finished and is in low volume production, it has been the goal of management of PSI to keep the cost of goods down and to provide a profit to shareholders. This will continue as PSI goes from off the shelf purchases and into its own proprietary parts development. This is an extra-added benefit of working with PTC's PRO/Engineer Wildfire and the Super computing horsepower of HP workstations.
PSI has succeeded in designing their own proprietary crankshaft for the SuperTorque XT marine engine in the Igniter 330 Jetboard. There are several advantages over the crankshaft currently in use. The crankshaft was designed and balanced for the 330cc SuperTorque XT and will undergo testing before developing permanent tooling.
Some of the new design attributes are the larger crankshaft bearings that can carry more load and splines on the crankshaft for the front pulley are significantly larger with more material also larger diameter shafts on the crankcase will therefore increase engine longevity and reliability.
The result is a new-purpose built, proprietary crankshaft. The PowerSki International Design Team is thoroughly excited about this new crankshaft and are please to unveil it for you.
Overall we are on the wave to bringing the Igniter 330 to the World and will be a ride to never forget…
